Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he
most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s
AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay
led the product and design teams for Google Workspace. What you’ll
do Act as the DRI for procurement and vendor management, overseeing
the full lifecycle from vendor onboarding through renewal and
offboarding. Partner with Legal, Finance, Partnerships, and
Operations to develop scalable systems for vendor sourcing,
contract review, compliance, and spend. Create and implement
procurement templates and tools that make it easy for teams to move
fast while maintaining accountability. Lead contract negotiations
to drive favorable terms, manage spend, and minimize risk across
all categories. Track and analyze company-wide vendor spend,
providing actionable insights to leadership on efficiency,
performance, and ROI. Build strong relationships with internal
stakeholders to ensure vendor performance aligns with Sierra’s
strategic priorities and operating standards. What you’ll bring 5
years of procurement, sourcing, or vendor management experience at
a high-growth tech company. Proven track record of negotiating
contracts and managing complex vendor relationships. Deep
understanding of procurement best practices, supplier risk
assessment, and spend optimization. Strong analytical and
organizational skills, with experience building or refining
procurement processes or systems. Ability to communicate
effectively and build trust across Legal, Finance, and operational
teams. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain
Management, or a related field—or equivalent professional
experience. Even better… Experience implementing or managing
procurement and spend management platforms (e.g., Zip, Ironclad, or
similar). Familiarity with AI, SaaS, or enterprise technology
ecosystems. Understanding of data security, compliance, and vendor
due diligence in regulated industries. Our values Trust: We build
