Job Description:
Join Walmart Inc., a leader in global retail, as a Senior
Software Engineer for Android in our dynamic IT department. Based
in Bentonville, Arkansas, this role offers the opportunity to lead
the development and enhancement of our Android applications that
impact millions of customers worldwide. As a skilled member of our
team, you will spearhead projects that enhance user interactions
through innovative solutions, ensuring our mobile applications are
both powerful and accessible. Leverage cutting-edge technologies to
elevate our customer experience and contribute to Walmarts mission
of helping people save money so they can live better. Design,
develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications. Lead
code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new
features. Implement robust, scalable, and clean solutions using
Kotlin and Java. Test, debug, and improve application performance.
Stay updated with new technologies and best practices in mobile
development. Mentor junior developers and participate in agile
development processes. Proficient in Android SDK, Kotlin, and Java.
Strong understanding of Material Design principles and Android UI
design. Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android
applications to back-end services. Strong knowledge of Android UI
design principles, patterns, and best practices. Experience with
offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. Ability to
design applications around natural user interfaces, such as
“touch”. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push
notifications. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools,
