RN in Oakland, California, 94609! Job Title: Registered Nurse

13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 3 years of
RN ICU experience, 6 months travel experience License: Current
state RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Experience with Epic
charting system preferred Description: RN ICU/CPU needed.
Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and NIH. Weekend
requirements include every other weekend and as needed by unit.
On-call status may be required as needed. Travel nurses may float
to other units within scope of practice depending on need and
census. Travelers can anticipate a notice of 1.5 hours prior to
shift start time in most cases. A shuttle is provided if floating
is requested. Patient age groups include adults. The daily census
is 16-20 patients with 24 beds available. Interdisciplinary support
includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy,
radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and
unit secretary. Expected patient diagnoses include sepsis, acute
kidney injury, respiratory failure, STEMI, heart failure, stroke,
surgical cases, cardiogenic shock, substance abuse, and diabetic
ketoacidosis. Special procedures include open heart surgeries,
thoracotomy, ECMO, and more. Special equipment used in this unit
includes CRRT, ventilators, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
Flexibility is required for floating to different units or
campuses. All travel staff must adhere to infection prevention
