Job Description:

Sports Physical Therapy (SPT) is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team, focusing on sports rehabilitation and athlete performance enhancement. Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans designed to help patients achieve specific goals. Instruct and demonstrate therapeutic exercises to patients, ensuring they perform them correctly without risk of further injury. Utilize devices like ultrasound, TENS machines, and other techniques to relieve pain and improve patients' function under the direction of the therapist. Document patient’s progress and adapt treatments as necessary under the supervision of the physical therapist. Communicate with patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercises, and other aspects of injury prevention and rehabilitation. Proven ability to follow physical therapy treatment plans Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experience with computer systems for scheduling and documentation Strong understanding of compliance and safety protocols Ability to handle physical exertion required during therapy sessions Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Licensed or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (varies by state) CPR and First Aid certification preferred
