Monarch Tree Services is currently looking for Mechanic with experience operating arbor specific equipment, medium duty trucks and small equipment. Job Description Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Work with Project and Fleet Managers to assess equipment needs and repair problems by using the most cost-effective practices. Monitor and schedule preventative maintenance and repair operations. Maintain and provide a report of all repairs and maintenance actions including parts and labor time on each piece of equipment. Stay within monthly and yearly shop budgets. Perform mechanical work using conventional hand and power tools in a safe and productive manner. Troubleshoot equipment problems and work to proactively maintain fleet and equipment. Run equipment and service truck for truck / equipment repairs outside of shop and facility needs. General shop and office upkeep. Other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Ideal candidate would possess the following - The ideal candidate for this position will have over 5 years of experience working on medium duty trucks, along with arbor specific equipment. Experience with equipment including aerial equipment , wood chippers, skid steers, dingo?s, back pack blowers, ATVs, UTVs, etc. They will have strong experience with engine repairs on International, Cummins, Cat, etc. The ideal candidate will also be very proficient in using computer diagnostics software to pinpoint engine, hydraulic, electrical, or electronic issues. Must be able to manage workload in warm weather for long hours at times. Must be able to order parts as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of arbor equipment & small equipment including aerial lifts, wood chippers, skid steers, dingo?s, backpack blowers, string trimmers, ATVs, UTVs, etc. Knowledge of aerial lifts, wood chippers and safe operating procedures. Strong communication skills. Strong conflict resolution and critical thinking skills. Efficient multi-tasking ability. Basic computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications and internal computer programs. A valid Driver's License (CDL preferred) and ability to meet company guidelines for driver eligibility.
