Job Description:
At US Foods, a leading foodservice distributor, we are seeking a
skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This position plays a
vital role in maintaining the integrity and performance of our
delivery fleet, essential for delivering high-quality products to
our extensive network of clients. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and
repairing mechanical issues, and ensuring all vehicles adhere to
safety standards. Join us to contribute directly to the efficiency
and success of our operations, ensuring that products reach our
customers seamlessly. Perform routine and preventative maintenance
on diesel engines and vehicle components. Diagnose and repair
mechanical and electronic systems. Conduct safety inspections and
comply with all safety policies and procedures. Maintain detailed
records of services performed and parts used. Assist in ordering
and maintaining parts inventory. Work collaboratively with the
fleet management team to optimize maintenance schedules and vehicle
uptime. Proficiency in diesel engine repair and maintenance. Strong
problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience with
electronic diagnostic tools and software. Ability to manage time
effectively and handle multiple tasks. Strong communication and
teamwork abilities. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Certified Diesel Mechanic (ASE) Valid commercial
driver’s license (CDL) preferred Certifications in Electrical
Systems, Brakes, and HVAC systems are advantageous.
