Be a part of state-of-the-art analysis for & missile systems at
Lockheed Martin. Work on significant analyses involving structures,
materials and strategic missile defense and flight systems.
**Become a valued member of the Flight Sciences Group supporting
the FBM D5LE2 Loads & Dynamics effort as a Mechanical Engineer -
Dynamics - FEM!
Perform structural dynamic analyses for missile and spacecraft
flight hardware
--- Produce and maintain models generated from both in-house and
commercially available software codes, that simulate mechanical
loading conditions, mechanism deployment motions, and the response
behavior of missile segment and spacecraft separation events.
--- Perform loads development (primary structure and component
level), shock and vibration environments determination and
component and system level testing and data evaluation.
--- Have the ability to work on a multi-disciplined team performing
structural design trades, preliminary and detailed design/analysis
activity and performance and maintenance assessments of operational
systems.
--- Support dynamic test definitions, requirements development,
test monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis
efforts.
--- Provide user documentation and recommendations to data packages
to support peer and customer reviews, present analysis data to
engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program
Office personnel at technical interchange meetings and design
reviews
--- Mentor junior engineers and cross train other engineering
fields.
--- Provide review, interpretation, flow down, and implementation
of program requirements, and plan tasks and review budget and
schedule to reduce cost and cycle time.
Advanced understanding of structures and structural dynamics either
through education or work experience
--- Proficiency in application of finite element analysis
principles as well as rigid and flexible body lumped-parameters
--- Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance; ability
to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
Experience evaluating designs using rigid body or flexible body
analysis methods and tools
--- Mechanisms, antenna, electronic component, ground support,
hoisting, and test support equipment, and composite materials
analysis experience
--- Experience with NX/Nastran, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, Matlab, Mathcad
and CREO
--- Creativity/innovation to tackle issues related to anomalous
performance of any aspect of a mechanical system
--- Top Secret DOD Clearance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee
selected for this position will work part of their work schedule
remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. These condensed schedules provide employees with
additional time away from the office and are in addition to our
Paid Time off benefits.
