Job Summary The job of Paraprofessional - Special Education is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the special education program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the instruction of individual or small groups of students in a variety of subject areas and providing individualized learning experiences to encourage academic excellence; assisting in the implementation of a behavior modification program; monitoring and reporting student behavior and performance; providing information to appropriate school personnel; and performing a variety of clerical duties as assigned. This job reports to Principal or Assistant Principal View Job Description Salary $22.85-$29.14 per hour Hours: 6 hours per day, 5 days per week. Requirements / Qualifications If you are NOT currently or never have been a Paraprofessional for VUSD, you must include proof of one of the following: Completion of 48 units of college or university or above OR Passing score on the District Paraprofessional Exam Paraprofessional Testing (Or Proof of passing score on exam) 48 Units of College or University or above Criminal Background Clearance Must be able to pass Strength & Agility test Tuberculosis Clearance Comments and Other Information Application Deadline: 2/23/26
